Do Bangladeshi Need a Visa To Visit The UK?
Bangladeshi citizens need to obtain a UK visa before they are allowed to enter the country. If you want to enter the UK for tourism, to visit a family member or for business meetings, you must obtain a UK Visit visa.
The UK Visit visa, otherwise known as the UK Standard Visitor visa can also allow you to take up study courses, receive medical treatment or even switch flights at the UK airports. The UK Visit visa allows its holder to enter and remain in the UK for up to 6 months.
Visa Steps
1. Know Your Travel Purpose
You need to check if your purpose of entering the UK aligns with what the UK Visitor visa offers. Also, if it suits you, you must select the specific Standard Visitor visa type that meets your travel purpose.
2. Complete the Online Application
You are required to submit your UK visa application form Bangladesh online. Each dependent entering the UK with you must apply separately.
3. Gather Your Documents
Bring all the documents required for your Visitor visa application. The documents that will be required of you depend on the Visitor visa type you chose.
Pay the Application Fee
After applying online, you will need to pay the required visa fees. You may be required to pay for your UK Visitor visa using your credit or debit card as VFS Global Dhaka no longer accepts cash payments.
5. Schedule and Attend the Appointment
Fix an appointment with the VFS Global Dhaka, or Sylhet to submit your documents. Attend the appointment on time and submit your biometric information (fingerprints and photographs).
6. Collect Your Visa
Wait for up to 3 weeks to receive a decision on your Visitor visa application. You will be notified to come and pick up your visa once a decision has been made on your application.
